Luneta’s Sustainable Packaging

Did you know that we automatically gift-wrap all orders in cute recyclable packaging?

We start the packaging process by putting your Lunetas in a protective pink paper jewellery box made of 100% recycled materials. The box also contains a non-tarnish cloth to keep the metal parts of your Lunetas shiny for longer! I’m personally not into keeping branded things at my house (sorry, all brands that insist on sending me free cloth bags/stickers with your branding on them), so for Luneta I curated adorable paper stickers to decorate our jewellery boxes instead. I hope this will incentivize you to keep the boxes or to reuse them for other things ☺️ If you don’t want to though, they’re also recyclable, except for the non-tarnish insert inside!

I then put the pink jewellery box into a striped paper candy bag with our branding on it (which I stamp on the bags by hand). This is what we mean when we say all orders are gift-wrapped by default 🌷 I love the handmade feel that stamped packaging gives! You’re also welcome to keep this paper bag or recycle it. The tape I use to seal it (I have a huge collection of washi tapes XD) is also recyclable.

PS: Both the tapes and candy stripe paper bags vary from order to order 🌼

Then it’s time for me to add a handwritten thank you note to your box. As I make the majority of the designs I sell myself (with the exception of original vintage jewellery I curate for the shop), it really moves me to know that you thought they were cute enough to spend you hard earned money on it!! It still baffles me every time, even after more than a year making Lunetas for sale 🤗

The final step before closing your package (with more cute washi tape) is adding a layer of crinkly paper to pad your Luneta and ensure it gets to you safely! This is an eco-friendlier alternative to plastic bubble wrap. Since I’ve started using this crinkle paper (which is recyclable), none of my orders arrived damaged. Let’s hope the streak continues 🤞Again, you’re welcome to keep this for future parcels you end up sending or to recycle it.

Tadahhh!! I realized now that the cute washi tape I use to seal the box is on the other side of it 😅 I’ll leave it to your imagination :) This is the front of the box, where I’ll add your name and address. You’ll know it’s your Lunetas arriving from the stamp 🥰🌷

What did you think of our packaging? Is there anything you’d improve to make it even more eco-friendly? Let us know by emailing hi [at] lunetacreations.com ❤️
