A darling combo of vintage Japanese, Italian, and German glass beads from the 1940s, 1950s and 60s. These are all extra fun: Textured, foiled, spotted, folded, swirly, wavy… Modern beads just don’t have this level of detail anymore! Not to toot my own horn, but you won’t find a beaded bracelet as special as this one anywhere else.
This collection is inspired by childhood nostalgia, Showa-era Japanese toys and candy. I hope that wearing this special piece brings joy to the wearer’s day!

I’ve been hoarding these striped drop beads since the early days of Luneta, back in 2020. I’m glad I did, because this is the perfect collection for them! Inspired by childhood memories and Showa-era Japanese toys and candy, these earrings are pretty much the combination of all those elements for me.

When I saw these heart pendants, I immediately thought of those toy necklaces that came in toy kits, sometimes with a colouring book, some pencils, maybe a plastic comb (which, as you can tell, is my inspiration for the final photo). Their brass casing is a bit tarnished, but I think it adds to the toy allure!

Luneta & Sustainability
Luneta Creations is a sustainable jewellery brand based out of London, England. Owner and maker Marianna handcrafts colourful jewellery using rare vintage beads, the majority of which comes from vintage necklaces she cleans and takes apart, giving them a new lease of life and potentially saving them from landfill. The rest comes from vintage deadstock warehouses. Reusing pre-existing materials is the best way to minimise impact, and it also means her handmade-to-order creations are unique and one of a kind. She hopes her sustainable creations bring joy and colour to their wearers' day.
We ship all orders using recyclable packaging and are Ecologi partners in an effort to further offset our carbon footprint.
