Friendship + Bracelets workshop in London

I come bearing exciting news: I’m throwing a bracelet-making workshop!! yay!!

This is how it’s going to work: I’ll bring everything you’ll need to learn how to make a sustainable beaded bracelet, using vintage beads, ofc. There’ll also be some prosecco going on, or non-alcoholic beverages, if that’s what floats your boat. We’ll be at a café/vintage shop where you’ll be welcome to try things on and order food/coffee (these aren’t included in the ticket though). You just need to bring an open disposition to meet new pals 🌈🌈

That’s right! This isn’t “just” a workshop where you’ll learn a new craft and leave with your own Luneta-style bracelet. I really want to bring together people who’re into sustainability and vintage so we can all leave feeling less lonely and perhaps with the seeds of new friendships 😊

As the organizer, I’ll do my best to prompt some real connections that day, not just promoting a passive craft session. Those are nice too, but if that’s what you’re looking for, then this workshop isn’t for you!

You might be wondering why I’m doing a workshop with this “make friends” vibe, and not just a workshop. It’s because when I moved to London from Brazil, about 5 years ago, I tried really hard to make new friends, and found it so incredibly difficult (🎻 cue tiny violyn or other sad background music 🎶). I actually attended dozens (!!!) of workshops and courses, hoping I’d meet people who might be open to being my friends - but instead they didn’t even look up from their nipple tassles (or whatever other craft we were making), much less strike up a nice chat with me. So when I got the idea to have a workshop of my own, I knew mine would at least try to change that!

The deets:

📍 Coffee and Fripes: 512 Roman Road, E3 5ES
🗓 August 3, Wednesday, 7pm
💲 £ 50, which includes all materials needed for your bracelet (think of all those yummy vintage beads 😋) and a glass of prosecco/can of non-alcoholic beverage! The good vibes are free ✨

Will I see you there? <3 Reserve your seat now at Eventbrite!
